Hi

I've just found this site after looking for answers about my Husbands operations.

In September last year my Husband had surgery on his cervial spine, the surgeon went in through the front. He has a piece of vertabrae removed and a cage inserted. This surgery helped but after a few weeks he was having pain in his right arm and his neck, The surgeon performed another surgery at the end of December as there was a piece of bone pressing on another nerve.

The surgeon went in through the back of my Husbands neck on that surgery.

My Husband has been recovering well until yesterday when he went to get milk out the fridge and he heard a big crack and when I looked at the back on his neck, it had 'sunk in' right under the his scar, and he was in alot of pain.

He is now in hospital flat on his back with a neck brace on, he has had a CT scan today, but tomorrow he is having another MRI scan.

He is not in the hospital where his surgeries were performed as when we rang them yesterday all they did was offer him an out patients appointment for Wednesday!

The hospital he is in are treating him well and doing their best, but they are not a Neuro hospital.

I'm very worried about him, has anyone had this surgery go wrong like this before?

Does anyone know what they will do next?

Sorry for such a long first post

Best wishes to all
