Do you have a good antivirus program?
Might run a deep scan just to check for anything.

Do you ever use a registry cleaner? Ccleaner or Glary utilites etc?

Somehing /someone? must have scrambled or changed your settings.

Have you done a reboot just to see if that fixes it?

Hi Razzle. This is an easy fix. It's got nothing to do with a virus or mallware.
Sometimes when a website opens your browser, it'll open minimized by default so you can still see your desktop/other open windows. Sometimes though, when you close it, it saves the size in the regestry.

To fix this, do these step by step.

1.Click on the Start menu
2.select "All Programs"
3.right-click on Internet Explorer
4.select Properties
5.select the Shortcuts tab
6.next to the Run: label, use the pulldown to select "Normal window" instead of "Minimized"

Sorry if I'm a little late. Just got here. Hope this fixes your problum.
:)
