Study: Old flu drug speeds brain injury recovery (Yahoo)

The drug used in this study is amantadine. It is a drug usually used for Parkinson's and flu.
In this study, it has been used for severe TBI's that resulted in coma. The administration of amantadine has cause the patients to regain consciousness sooner than those who were not given the amantadine. |
