Aneurysm & Seizures
Hi everyone,
Im new. I had an aneurysm (subrachnoid hemorrage of the right posterior communicating artery)a year ago. I've seen neurologist and the neurosurgeon, both say not possible to experience the things that I am experiencing because of the location of the annie. I was wondering if anyone had a brain aneurysm here and is having onset seizures? I have been experiencing some strange things like: lights flashing in corners of eyes stars floating in front of eyes left eye, does this shutter thing (like pupil dialating in slow motion-blinking without closing my eye) slidding down a sliding board feeling like im beeing squeezed rapid heart beat (palpatations or anxiety not sure) twitching feeling like a rubberband all wound up heartbeat audible in left ear ringing in both ears, but higher pitch in right painful calves and ankles sensation of falling when trying to sleep numb lips and tongue (most of the time) dizzyness and feeling faint feeling detached and separated from myself |

Hi Sah-PCA,
Welcome to the forum! I've never had an annie but I have family members that have had them and it can lead into seizures do to possible scar tissue on the brain from the annie. The light flashing, radip heartbeat, twitching, dizziness, and feeling faint are all signs of different types of seizures. The light flashing and twitching can be a simple partial seizure also known as an aura seizure. Sometimes a rapid heartbeat can lead to seizures also. My advice to you is to see a Epileptologist at an Epilepsy Center an Epileptologist deals with epilepsy and knows much more than a neurologist would. Try taking vitamin B12 or B complex vitamins once a day this helps calm the nerves down. You may possibly be have seizures do to the surgery you had and if there's any swelling of the brain or nerves healing in your brain. I've had brain surgery twice to help reduce my seizures and during my recovery time my neurosurgeon told me that I would be likely to have more seizures do to the swelling and nerves healing in my brain. I wish you the best of luck and May God Bless You! Sue |
Welcome aboard!!
Sah-PCA, :Wave-Hello:
Great you found us, I guess I gave you the right directions. As Sue said an Epileptologist is a great doctor to check into. You can find them at a Medical schools. I was really lucky yo find one through my neuro, he help me out alot. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Darlene  |
Thank you both. I will try the b12. I have seen and epiliptec/neurologist (he informed me as I preceded to tell him why I thought I was having onset seizures) .
He did the eeg study (48 hrs) and was more than happy (we dont see eye to eye)to tell me, there was no evidence of seizure activity. He wanted to keep me on the lyrica because? So thats why I stopped taking it. Im going crazy, absolutely totally out of my mind, off this planet, next galaxy, crazy, not 2 mention Im exhausted too. Its consuming me. |
Hello Sah-PCA
I want to welcome you to Neruo Talk. There is a forum specific to aneurysm. On the top of the page is a search bar, just type that in. I also know of several people on this site who have this. Much of what you described are symptoms that several others experience. I hope you get answers to what you are having to experience. Again a warm welcome to you. If you would like me to contact the person I know with the best source information, I can get you his PM. ginnie
