Well, it shore has been a fine winter, not to cold at all! I know we sho nuff gonna have us a hot enough summer too. Lord, I'd rather have the cold any day...I thought about movin to the Artic. It wouldn't bee too hot, and I wouldn't have to hear too much traffic, seems a good idea at the moment.But we know how ideas are, some we have come to fruit and others wilt up like flowers in the summer heat!

Well, look here...Mr T you ole rascal, how you been? You say she did what? She went to the Dance Den and never came home. I jest can't see Aldamae doin such, why don't she know she can't be teaching them youngins in Sunday school if she at that devil's den on Saturday night? Well, it ain't my place to judge her, or say she can't do what she wants. I always been right here fer her and I'll always be right her when she ready to talk.

Yeah, I heard bout ole Mrs Purdy...she always been crazy as a hoot owl. She took her shot gun to church one Sunday, was gonna shoot the young folks ifn they tried to get up and go outside. Lord, that was a sight, wasn't it? lol She with that big ole gun with her lil ole self and that big ole red hat on. She look like a tiny demon sprung up outta Jula Mae's fountain. Lord, it was a funny sight. Yeah, she will be missed right enough. She helped people more than she harmed them. Yep, she did put that child of Selma's through college, paid ever bit of it and wouldn't take one penny back. She paid for Jessie to go to that fancy nursin school way off past Atlanta way. She was a good woman deep down, but she was sho nuff crazy. She drove ole man Picker's truck down in the pond cause it was dirty, told him she washed it fer him. Lord, we sho will miss her.

I guess its people like Mrs Purdy that makes us appreciate life and be thankful. We shore have had some laughs at her expense, but she sho didn't seem to mind what people thought. She did what she wanted and didn't look back to see who saw or who was talking. I guess we could learn from that, do what is right and not worry about what folks gonna say about us. Well, here come some of the younguns, they'll be hungrier than hibernating bears. You stop by anytime fer a cup of coffee and some gossip.
