Lexapro

Went to my neurologist and he basically had nothing good to tell me. He said I should start lexapro 10 mg. im already on 100 mg. of amitriptaline, clonazepam, and vicodin as needed. I kinda feel like I was wasting the docs time. He asked why the head injury clinic wasnt prescribing. Im being bounced. Anyway im not sure when to take the lexapro. Morning, at bed?

It probably does not make much difference except for the side effects. I take my SSRI in the am because it lessens the side effects when I am trying to sleep. In time, you blood level of the Lexapro will stabilize so it will not make any difference at all.

Hope this helps.

My best to you.

Hi Crystal

Sorry you are getting bumped around by your doctors. Lexapro is good for depression in many cases. My question is do you have a primary care provider? I always head for my PCP when I get into trouble, and he seems to respond better to all the situations I have. He sends me to a specialist, only if that is needed, otherwise he takes care of things like depression. I would go to him first above all others, as he keeps track of all the others who are involved with my case. I do wish you all the best. Having that one doctor you really trust is important. ginnie
