Dental Implants & sinus perforation.

HI, Message for Bryanna.
Don't know if you remember Bryanna I posted a question about a very sore upper gum after implant surgery nearly twelve months ago.
I have just had the results of a CT Scan on my sinuses which shows a implant encroaching into the sinus cavity by 4mm could this be causing my gum problem? Also I have a heavy head cold at the moment with a heavy discharge of mucos from the nose as to be expected, but my gum is much more sore with this heavy nasal discharge.
I am very concerned about this implant 4mm into the sinuses, an ENT consultant said there is no infection at the moment, but this could cause problems later.
I have attached a cross section slide from the CT scan showing the implant in the black cavity.
Thank you for all your advise in the past.
Regards,
Michael.Attachment 6825
