DUCK Shout-OUT :-O QUACK!!!!!

I'm not sounding the alarm but I'm a bit concerned that some of us haven't heard from our friend Da Duck... so... if anyone has heard anything can you let us know via this thread? It would be greatly appreciated!

She hasn't posted on Facebook for the last couple of days so I have a bit of worry about the tornadoes and whether or not her area was hit. Perhaps she's just got no power.

Anyway, its ... just ... you know... I've just had Duck in my life for so long ... geesh...

ok... group hug :grouphug:

I share your concern Addy. It isn't like Ducky to "disappear"...I'm thinking (hoping) that they have lost power.

Sending love and positive thoughts your way Duck.

I was trying to find news items for power outages in her area. I did find this.
Maybe her area had/has power down.

Atlanta Journal Constitution website says

Quote:

Almost 19,000 customers were without power in Kentucky, according to the state's Public Service Commission, and a few thousand more from municipal utilities and TVA, which the PSC does not track.

Cellphone companies were trying to help residents by setting up mobile charging and email stations so they could communicate while power and cell service was still difficult to find. They also brought in portable towers to boost signals, and service was improving Sunday.

Lara 03-05-2012 06:02 PM

Okay, I am here. LOL. Like I said, the net went down for a week. I was unhappy...the Kid was...worse. But we are fine. The storms got close and we had some very severe winds, but the tornadoes missed us. I have heard that they hit a town in Eastern KY where Dale was born but, of course, can get no word from our friends there. No power. A friend serving in the national guard is supposed to try to get them a message for me.
Thank you all so much. At the time of year when I usually feel the most alone I got cut off from my support system. BUT...this is better. I feel so loved and not a bit alone. Thank you all! I love you!

Doody 03-06-2012 06:10 PM

Well, we were so worried! Of course we care... and We love you too!
