Lyme-Associated Parkinsonism

their patients responded to anti-Parkinson's medications, which is unusual in MSA, and they also improved on antibiotics. This dissimilarity may indicate a different underlying pathology compared to the present case, in which there was little or no improvement with anti-Parkinson's drugs and antibiotics. Alternatively, as our patient did not receive antibiotics until 14 months after initial infection, he may have suffered irreversible neuronal damage by the time treatment was initiated.
