WRR: tryptophan and GABA

White rat report:

combined the tryptophan and oral/liquid GABA last night before bed, had an unprecedentedly long sleep (for us, at least!), and actually felt rested upon waking up. Able to get out of bed easily, despite having slept through and missed a dose of the morning meds. Better mood, too.

Note: most GABA for sale out there does not cross the BBB, the brand we used is in a liquid form and uses a lipid formulation to get the GABA into the brain. If you want to try this, you'll need to take the form that actually gets where it needs to be. We'll do this again tonight and see if we can duplicate the results.

night 2

Another improved night of sleep: take 1 ltryptophan and 1 "slop" of liquid GABA (don't you love our scientific measurements? 1 slop is the eyedropper that comes with it, probably about 1mL give or take (again, so scientific)) an hour or so before bed....getting sleepy, eyelids heavy...ahhhhhh about 10:00pm.

3am, up, back to sleep around 4am without having taken anything....slept for another three hours.

While some here may think "that's not a very good night's sleep", trust me, for us, this is one heck of an improvement.

Couple that with the fact that when we wake up, we feel rested. You cannot appreciate how much of an improvement that is unless you have gone years waking up not feeling like you slept at all.

Warning: this stuff does make one drowsy, so no one should try it unless they are at home ready for the sand-man.
