Poss Celiac?

Hello....39 years old and during the last few months have had weight loss, hair loss, foul smelling stool -- some light and floating, most recently darker but loose and foul, mucus in stool and chronic sinus pressure.
I went to an "alternative" MD for my symptoms since all my other MDs said they wanted to put me on depression med and that I am fine, even though not really depressed, well somewhat bummed out but nothing drastic. Anyway, she said my palms looked a bit yellowish and my pinky finger is quite short so she thinks I have a gluten issue. She also said my thyroid felt a bit large -- even though no other MD told me that before. She did do blood testing for the thyroid and I had an ultrasound dont of thyroid. Could this be hypothyroid OR Celiac OR both? I am really getting scared.....I was relatively healthy up until this point but the last few months, I have just been a different person. Very irritated, my periods are coming every 24 days instead of the usual 28, anxiety, feeling frightened about health issues and family, tired (not exhausted).
Any thoughts?

Hypothyroid leads to yellow/orange discolorations of the palms and soles of the feet. This is from poor conversion of betacarotene from vegetables, that happens when thyroid hormone is low. Betacarotene is converted to Vit A in the liver with the help of thyroid hormone. So this discoloration is one sign pointing to the thyroid.

The tests will tell more.

Interesting! Thanks for the reply! I have been drinking a lot of carrot juice and eating alot of broccoli as well so maybe that is why --- if my thyroid is off and I am consuming all of this betacarotene........it is not being converted properly, is that correct? Maybe I should lay off the betas for a bit.

I have been doing some reading on how adrenal fatigue can cause these symptoms as well and it may not actually be my thyroid.

Any thoughts?

I would not change your eating habits yet.... the coloration
is a sign that aids the doctor in deciding to treat or not.

If you get rid of the coloration, your symptoms then become
"hidden".

My discolorations were a prime reason I was finally diagnosed by the endo. Because I had confusing blood work, etc. He finally gave me a radio uptake scan and it revealed all!

I had an ultrasound done of my thyroid yesterday and a reverse T3 blood test...I think that is what she called it. She tested other things too...not sure what the name of the celiac test is.

If I am hypo......how does one decided between synthetic or that Amoror (sp?) drug?
