the reason i ask is because when i went to the dentist and got a novocaine injection my NECK/brachial plexus(??) felt better. i wonder if the novocaine spread to my neck somehow (lol) or does that mean my jaw is just super messed up

Yes, when I researched TMJD, people were complaining of such things.
EDIT: "TMJD" above said "tinnitus".
Also, I get a tonal noise in my left ear that comes and goes. If it's really bad, stretching sometimes alleviates it. And just for fun, if I don't have it, stretching can give me a mild version of it.
At least for me, my TMJD seems to be rooted in muscular tension. My symptoms go away or greatly diminish with relaxation and stretching.
