what's going on with me exactly?
So...my neurologist is great with prescribing meds to help me not feel pain. I actually haven't even had to go see him until last February and got some Lyrica for a temporary nerve problem in my back.
Anyway... I was hoping that since there are a merrid of experts on this forum, maybe you could help explain the cause or any treatment of my symptoms... and yes, I don't post here often, but I am the crazy chick that caused her own peripheral nervous system problems. Basically I'm wondering why it is I can't feel that much anymore...and honestly I've never been one to pay attention to my health, but... I notice that if I try to exercise any part of me, I don't feel much of a "burning" sensation at all. Also I've noticed I really don't feel much of a sensation on my head, none of my body feels ticklishness anymore (even in my nose or on the inside of my mouth) and I can't feel my reflexes, even though I've been told they do work. Ideas, anyone? |
Sorry to bump this thread again but I got no response... basically what I want to know is what causes a normal burning sensation while exercising and is there any way I can get it back? Right now, for instance...if I try to do push-ups, I feel a little bit of tingling and circulation in my wrist and in my shoulder of my right arm, but otherwise...nothing else.

Hi ~ Are you taking anything like Neurontin or Topamax? Those meds stop the burning & tingling. Are you still taking the Lyrica? That might affect it too somewhat.
Other than that, I can't answer your question. I think I'd talk to my doctor about this. Best of luck & God bless. Hugs, Lee |
