Hummers yet?

(for people in the eastern part of the US)
Have you seen a humming bird yet? I haven't but my feeders are up and waiting.
I know they are here ........

for the first time in my life actually (soooo fantastic) my neighbor is still laughing at me as she was present along with my oldest son, I marveled at it for what seemed like forever and it was because of the honey suckle it showed. can't wait till I see it again. my neighbor says my property is full of them all the time ( I loaded my gardens with butterfly bushes and plants as well as rhododendrons galore . odd how she has seen it and this is my first my whole life.

I'm in the mountains of VA and the hummers show up the last few days of April. By this point (end May), they are used to me and fly up to the feeder even if I'm close by.

I saw one two days ago here. I put up the feeder and the
cotton fibers for nesting. But I haven't seen the hummer since.
Might have been a visitor on the way North. We get many of those. This is about the time of year we get hummers.

Hello Wren, I know you asked about eastern US, but I live in South Western Ont, Canada. In early May I put up 3 glass feeders(filled with sugar water) in my lilac tree at the edge of my deck and we now have multiple hummers, we love to sit and watch them they're amazing, I am hoping for babies sometime in july, our friends had babies last year, such a tiny gift of beauty from mother nature. The Hummers came in last week. Spring was a month early here in the Shenandoah of Virginia. Have been feeding them for 20 years, don't wear red hat unless you want to be buzzed.
