Throat pain

Hello everyone

I have been having problems with my throat/mouth for the past 12 months. I have a constant sensation in my thoat, sometimes its burning and sometimes it just aches. I also have dry lips and then pain can sometimes move into the roof of my mouth. I also have a really funny taste in my mouth in the mornings. At first I thought it was due to anxiety, but having tried various medications for the past few months I have had no results. Recently my doctor thought it could be acid reflux, but I have been taking the medication for the past 2 weeks and no luck!Additionly I have been experiening a lot of flatulence and burping as well. I just want to find out whats wrong. I also suffer from frequent pins and needles in the lower leg and feet.

Can someone give me any suggestions?

Welcome to NeuroTalk. I see you responded to a thread here today that has a link to a dental site with possibilities.

At your age low B12 is not common, but it can exist if you have genetic pernicious anemia which blocks B12 absorption.

Here is the link again:

Another cause can be from Triclosan, which is an additive in many tooth pastes and mouth washes. So if you use these products...I'd stop them for a while and see if things improve.
You'll have to read the labels carefully. Colgate Total is one example.
