NARCOMS magazine spring 2012 issue
Interesting issue. They talk about smoking and MS and how those who smoke are most likely to have another immune related disease such as inflammatory bowel disease or Crohn's disease (page 9).
Also, they list the results of their members on disability level and related to treatment and level of disability (or lack of DMD and related as such). Those on Copaxone were less likely to have disability. Those taking Avonex were less well off in regards to disability level. If you get NARCOMS magazine you can see the results yourself on page 11. There are more than 35,000 participants in Narcoms surveys today. This makes me think I will stay on Copaxone for the long run. |
Ah Wiz...I am increasingly frustrated with C...so many craters now that they show up as air pockets on CTs... And for some reason the injections are becoming quite painful fir at least an hour after I shoot.
Added to that the fact that a new MRI showed new lesion load makes me second guess the neuro's recommendation to keep on with it. |
I tried so hard to stay on C, but in the end I was miserable, left with huge craters in my bum, thighs, arms, and belly. I felt exhausted all day. I couldnt form a coherent thought, and I simply felt awful! I knew when I took a break from it I was able to get out of bed, I was able to think clearly enough to make a meal, and I started to get my sanity back.
My MD said there is going to be a PILL released in a bout a year that shows great promise. B something. Cant remember. must have MS. |
