First time user w/ Shunted Arachnoid cyst and hydrocephalus
Hi everyone,
My name is Kate. I am 28 years old. I have had many neurosurgeries for my shunt which is helping my hydrocephalus and my arachnoid cyst to drain. I have had lots of crazy symptoms over the years and ups/downs but I am surgery free for over 6 years (thank God). My shunt is a programmable Strata valve which drains into my lung cavity. I am always curious about my shunt especially the things I shouldnt get near or activities I should avoid because of it. I am also curious about symptoms other people have experienced with their shunts. I am so happy to have found a place where I can find more about these issues and share experiences with everyone. Thank you for reading. I am looking forward to talking to the other members in this group. :o |
