Closed Head

Hello...new to Neuro. Dealing with a closed head injury, or at least that's what I believe now. Worker's comp Neurologist says there is nothing wrong with me. Cognitive tests tell a different story. Lost my job, couldn't handle it anymore, stay at home mostly with a pilloow over my head, extremely sensitive to sound/light, severe noise in my head, face pain, twitching eyes, can't tolerate to watch tv, listen to music, or computer. This is like mental torture. Does it really ever go away? Was a total athlete, now it's difficult to walk my dog around the block.

Certainly doesn't sound like "nothing wrong". Was there a CT scan? Something going on that needs further diagnosis. Whether the symptoms get better depends on the root cause which sounds like still needs to be diagnosed. Meantime welcome to the forums.

Sounds like a 2nd opinion and a good lawyer are in order.

Do you have a work comp atty yet?
I think with a claim like this you need a good one.
And one that can find you a good doctor to help on your side of the claim.

check out our Work comp forum -

I see you found the PCS/TBI forum already.
Be sure to make a thread there with your intro & info, they may not notice this post here.

Thank-you for replying. Now at least I know I am doing this right. It is a work related injury, fell hitting my head. The worker's comp doctor says there is nothing wrong with me, she insists. Never mention the word concussion, closed head injury, said there is nothing wrong with me. 18 months now I still sit at home evryday with a pillow over my head for some relief. I have been diagnosed by a shrink with a closed head injury, now the doctor's have to fight over who's right on my condition?? I HAVE BRAIN DAMAGE...but worker's comp Dr. says there is nothing wrong. I have an attorney...and all that. BUt...something is wrong with this picture of care?? I mean, I can't be the only one in the world this is happening to? How can a worker comp doctor get away with saying there is NOTHING wrong??
