Benedryl

I cannot find anything bad about Benedryl and neuropathy. Does anyone know any information that it might be bad? I would like to take a half of a pill at night sometimes. POTS can make you itch. Thanks.

benedryl has helped with my pain for quite a while now. i dont take it all the time but when things are particularly bad pain wise, i take one to get to sleep. i think that it helps with inflammation. its been safe with me.

Thanks, I just don't want it to cause neuropathy. Seems like SO many things do.

I don't see how Benadryl can cause PN.

But as we age, and become older, Benadryl may have to be
lowered in dose, due to the anticholinergic effects it has.

Men with prostate issues have to be very careful with it therefore.

Benadryl can cause blurred vision and dry mouth. So anyone with Sjogren's would not be a candidate for it.

I use Benadryl myself... and my doctor lately has been discouraging this because of my age. So now I only take 25mg at bedtime (during allergy season). Sometimes I rotate with 1/2 Zyrtec. Seems I get "used to" the Benadryl and it stops working.

Thank you. I take a half dose sometimes. Just like my tiny doggie, ha.
