Finally having better days

I can honestly say the last few days have been a little better for me. I mean don't get me wrong I'm still having RSD but its not as much as an all day thing. I think stress has been taking a huge toll on me and now that I've been trying to handle my stress better the RSD hasn't been so intense.

I took my BACK MRI Friday evening. Thank god it was only 12 minutes because it was painful.

I just want to be able to drive for more then 5 minutes again.

This week I am going back to pain management doctor to get my results for the MRI and to see my options of treatment besides all the meds im on :)

so YEYYYY :);)

Yup, gotta celebrate baby steps with this condition! One can lead to another and that can lead not only to better mobility, but better "mood" as well.

Don't let CRPS define you. Keep looking until you find the professionals and the treatments that best suit your condition. You must be your own advocate; nobody else cares more about you than you.

Good luck and keep us updated!

HI

Hey Seaford, I am from Wantagh but now live out in Suffolk County. I run an RSD support group in suffolk if you are interested.

Learning to cope with the stress and the pain are big steps...or at least they were for me. Little by little I was able to get the function back with physical therapy and with the improved function I was in an even better mood and found the stress and pain easier to cope with. It's still there...always...but the more I can do and the more things I can focus on besides just the pain the better the quality of life.

MRIs are just awful for me too. The vibrations and sounds always send me into a flare...but you have to do what you have to do, right? Take care and I hope that things continue to move in the right direction for you.
