Comfortable clothes

This is the most comfortable warm robe I've ever owned, from Norm Thompson. Thick, cozy fleece. I don't like hoods and collars, so the neckline suits me. And I like the cuffs, so I can push them up when washing my hands or whatever. Worth every penny. I could live in it.

I would go to work in that if I could get away with it. It looks so comfy.

I got mine a couple/few years back when they had light blue. I may just get another one. Wish they made a dark color, such as navy.

I don't buy clothes too often anymore. What I do buy has to be for when I go out (which is rarely) so it tends to last much longer. I usually wear shorts, yoga pants or sweats around the house. I buy alot of my clothes from QVC....their Denim & Co. line is really cute and practical for me. Easy on/easy off. Washes well and no dry cleaning needed.

I'm looking for some casual summer dresses but it's hard to find exactly what I'm looking for. Something I can wear around the house without looking like I'm ready to go to bed.

Funny I just got back from the store, and decided to buy myself some NEW shirts, and shorts for the summertime. I have been rotating my wardrobe for a decade now. Many of my shirts are faded, stretched, and no longer match the color they used to be when I got them. So, I stood half blind, over stressed, and cog fogged in the isle. The DH came along and said ENOUGH! He started taking things OUT of the carriage and said "now think. I know you like some of those things, but they will sit in your closet because they are not comfy. lets start looking at comfy stuff" What a man!

I got tank tops in a size too big so I can shrink them. Who cares what the label says, no one sees it but me anyway! I got some elastic waist shorts, that have a pocket in them, and a draw string. Cute colors, and then we matched a few tanks and short sleeve V neck shirts to the shorts. All comfy and a size larger than I would have normally reached for. I simply cannot try things on in the store. it eats every spoon I own, and I cry all the way home. Got home, rested and had a fashion show. some a a tiny bit baggy, but one or two washes, and it will be the right size.

Went into the bedroom to find DH with a trash bag, and my open armoire. He was dragging out my clothes in piles saying "havent seen you wear this in 10 years, can someone else use it?" and "look how faded this is! lets toss it and get a new one." Aww! what a dude!

He is right. Things with rows and rows of buttons now sit on the shelf. Things with complicated patterns, or ill fitting, sit on the shelf. My shelf was full of things I didnt/wouldnt wear and while if you open my closet it appears as if I am swimming in clothes, it was clothes that were difficult at best. So...hurray! I have some new spring/summer clothes to sport about in. Salvation Army has a bag of nice things that someone with fit fingers can wear, and we have new rags in the rag bag.

I am so proud of myself for not continuing to cling to the things that I am "supposed" to be wearing and finally putting on things that I am able to wear that are in style, and still have color!

Yes, Sally........you could wear it out.

Dej, your DH sounds like a gem. You're a very fortunate woman.

I tend to buy things a little too big, too. Especially things that are mostly cotton and I know I'll be washing alot. They all shrink up so no sense in buying something only to be able to wear it once or twice. Plus, I cannot stand anything restricting or that pulls.
