Full Moon and Passover Friday night

Hi,

Happy Passover :)

The full moon is at 3:20 pm East Coast Time Friday.
Passover starts at sundown or sunset Friday-- 7:28 pm and 38 seconds -- depending on how one counts.

Passover reminds me of my friend who passed a few years ago. If she were here, I might have been in her kitchen earlier keeping her company. She made her chicken soup with a clear broth. Seder guests had their pick of whether they wanted matzo balls that floated or balls that sunk to the bottom of the soup bowl.

that was funny about the sinking matzo balls. I used to make them light and fluffy and at times so light they would fall apart.

Happy Passover and Easter everyone.

I love this time of year.

Its my favorite time of year.

I was born the day before Easter one year 54 years ago. So its always
been one of my favorite holidays.

Today is Good Friday.

It is not Easter yet.

With today being Good Friday my spirits have been on the solemn side. Good Friday, per se, is not a yippee-do-da-day day.

It is important too. We would not have Easter at all, were it not for Good Friday! It is a critical passage to observe, if one is to put any sort of meaning into Easter... besides colored eggs and candy and whatnot. :o

i am non-observant but i still think about these things. for some reason this year it really affected me. so i guess i am observing in a personal kind of way.

Hi, Waves,

I was thinking of this too when I had to go out to a shop and saw tons of people buying junk. It felt odd to see people who will likely celebrate Easter but not observe Good Friday.
I think the Protestants are not much into Holy Thursday and Good Friday.

I observe no holidays. Hubby and I recognize our two b-days some years.
