frustrated!
 

I am so frustrated my PCP and neurologist keep pushing me off to each other saying the other one has to start me on meds and both dont seem to care that im in so much pain that it makes me cry and even makes me sick to my stomic! I know its trial and error with meds to see what will work but the pain is worse and hasnt stopped in 6 months and the more im on my feet the worse it gets, im almost at the point that i cant do my job..i think im going to have a nervous reakdown :(

I think I would go to another doctor if these 2 won't help you at all.
You don't have to stay with any care provider that is not helping you.

FWIW, IME it's usually the specialist that initiates a prescription, and from then on refills are handled by the PCP. Two reasons being that 1, specialist co-pays are higher, and 2, PCPs are typically the ones to manage everyone else to (theoretically) catch any duplications, interactions, etc.

Other than that I pretty much agree w/ Jo*mar's assessment; these folks are working for you, and the PCP should have your back and go to bat for you when/where necessary (within his/her purview).

Thank you :) Up untill this point mp PCP has been great, but now im not so sure. I am definatly going to looking for a new one. I switched to this new specialist because the other one (who did my refills not my pcp?) charged me a 50 copay to not even look at my feet after i told him things had gotten worse and treated me like i was looking for pain meds
