New to NeuroTalk
 

Hello everyone,

My name is Lee and I'm so glad I found this support group. It wasn't difficult to find, just a few google searches and there it was. People here are caring and offer great advice and support.

I was recently diagnosed with bulges, herniated disks, 5mm spur, spinal compression in 3 different spots, flattening of the anterior cord and effacement of the subarachnoid space. These findings are from C3 to T1.

My Neurologist did not provide any advice or suggestions on what I should or shouldn't do while I wait for a Neurosurgeon appointment. After weeks of pain, numbness, weakness and at times useless limbs and vertigo, I saw my GP who was not updated on my condition, only a phone call from my Neurologist prior to being diagnosed telling her that is was psychosomatic.

So, all that to say, I got more advice from this community then I did with my Doctor's.

Welcome to Neuro Talk. I came here looking for support too with cervial issues several years ago. I hope you find the correct resolution for your back problems. Please do get a second opinion, with a neurosurgeon. It was a good thing that I did. I was fused C3-7. I will be here for you anytime you need to talk. Glad you found this site, I never left it! ginnie
