Help no insurance
I have spondololisthesis of L5,L4 and L3. I was told I need to have a spinal fusion however I have no insurance. I am trying to get in to see a doctor. But cannot seem to come up with the money up front. Does anyone know of any programs , grants, loans, or possibly studies being done to assist with this any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks

Have you checked with Social Services to see if you qualify for Medicaid? You might even qualify for emergency coverage -- just short term Medicaid to get thru the surgery. Check with your local Social Services office and see if you might be able to get coverage for it. It might be possible. I sure hope so for your sake! Other than that, I really don't know of any programs that are available, although there might be some. Perhaps others will chime in with more information.
Maybe Social Services can direct you to some place too that can help you. I sure hope so. If you had to pay for this yourself, it would be AWFUL! Please keep us posted, okay? We really care. ;) God bless & hope to hear from you again. Hugs, Lee |
Agree about Social Services, and also...

It may be difficult in this economic climate but not impossible. If you are disabled according to Social Security guidelines then you may be able to get Social Security Disability status (If you have worked) and qualify for Medicare. That would solve your problem. Can you get your physician to so diagnose you or refer you to someone who can, someone who would comp your visit perhaps? I do not knw much about hw Medicaid works but I cannot believe that in this rich nation we would not provide for someone in obvious need. Just keep rattling their chains. Praying for you |
