Brain injuries and cycling

Here's a great article about USA Cycling creating a protocol for the brain injured cyclist during a race. It also addresses time for recovery and training.

Apparently, what I was doing to recover was correct. Stationary training was a big help in easing myself back into cognitive and behavioral form. My own recovery is almost complete.

I found this paragraph interesting: '“There’s a point during the recovery process when symptoms are at a more manageable level, where we want to start slowly introducing physical activity because that activity can actually be helpful in supporting recovery,” said Freitag.'
