Immunotherapy and medications.

Ugh. I started on armidex and within 4 days I started having partials. 4 weeks within stopping I have my first gm within 9 months. This and zonegran sit on the same liver enzyme and as far as I can figure cut the zonegran's life.

Any ideas on how to handle multiple problems with different specialist who don't care about the consequences of their acts?????

WOuld your GP be willing to mediate for you with the all the specialists?

Hope that works out for you

Wishing you the best of health and a sz free life

hi Hanna
I was on cyclosporine several years ago and I had the same problem with it affecting my seizures. I dont think I was on zonegran at the time, altho I am now. I remember lots of hospitalizations and trips to the ER because there was really nothing they could do. I was also on prednisone for a short time to decrease the side effects of the cyclo so.. unless you were bringing me food the best thing to do was stay far far away from me ! Definitely not fun times.

Are you done with the armidex or will you need to take it again ?
Would you maybe be able to take a benzo like klonopin or ativan to help cover during the time you have to take it ?

sorry you are having problems, it definitely stinks.
hang in there,
Pam

Wish that I knew something that could help you. You've been through so much. Hope that the New Year is much better for you than this last one has been. What's going on?
