Needs Advice Spinal Lesions causing Neuropathy also have Tarsal Tunnal

Hi Folks, first time writing in the right place. Need some advice from folks that have been where I'm at, which is at my wits end. DX with Fibromyalgia years ago. Dx with spinal lesions 2008 after trying to figure out why my feet were tingling and hurting in spots. DX with Tarsal Tunnel at the same time. Since 2006 I have seen every Dr known to man. Meds taking Gabapentin 900mg x4, Tramadol 50 mg x4, Bacolfen 20 mg, x3. For the Fibromyalgia I take Savella 100 mg x2 and Cymbalta 60 mg x1. For the last year I have been in horrible pain when walking or standing for more then 10 mins in my feet. I can't squat the pain will reach a 10. I have constant pins and needles and thrubbing in my feet. I have spasms in my legs when I walk. I work and I am on my feet doing landscaping, cut down to 5 hours per day. After work I drive a half hour to get home. The pain is terrible to use the gas or brake peddle. I also crawl to get into my house once I get home. From the time I get up until I go to bed I pretty much in constant pain most of the day it's a 10. My GP wants me to quit work and states I'm a risk driving. He also gave me a script for Fentanl patches. I can't quit work, I'll be in the poor house. But I can't keep doing what I'm doing, it's to painful. And I don't like the idea of using the patches. Someone give me some advice as what to do or where to go,

Welcome to NeuroTalk:

Sometimes it takes a while to get a handle on new posters.

But right off the bat I see a therapeutic duplication:
Savella + Cymbalta?

I'd look at this seriously. No need for both. In fact I'd get rid of the Cymbalta since it can cause liver problems.
Savella is the drug of choice now for Fibro. I'd seriously discuss this drug overlap with your doctor. I don't think it is safe or necessary.

I wonder about your PN and environmental triggers. Landscaping?
Are you exposed to Roundup or other herbicides or pesticides?
These can cause neurological damage. New information on RoundUp links it to Parkinson's Disease now. Our PD forum has a post on it, recently.

Can you tell us about these "spinal lesions" ? This sounds ominous.

Spinal Lesion

Thank You Mrs D. The report states the thoracic spinal cord at the T4-5 through T5-6 level does show some mild narrowing. Could be myelitlis. I was told by a Neurologist that at one time I most of had a virus and it attacked my spine. No tests that I had showed signs of MS.
