Aspirin and cancer?

Is it true that aspirin prevents cancer and other diseases?
They have had it all over the news here in Australia just recently.

No. Nothing prevents cancer. Some things can reduce the risk of some cancers. Very often they're things like lifestyle; good diet, exercise, enough sleep, not smoking.... Common sense stuff.

There may be some articles in the Health News Headlines forum. You can go there and use the search function for that forum (just above the sticky post on the righthand side).

Or you can google: aspirin cancer

There may have been some recent study/studies suggesting that aspirin may reduce the risk of some cancers that generated a lot of media frenzy, but this is common. "Cancer" raises ratings/hits, and sells advertising. "They did a study" is now tantamount to "I saw it on TV" or "It was in the newspaper" ("so it must be true"). Studies come out all the time, and often refute findings of previous studies. A lot of studies are later found to be so full of holes & bad science as to be worthless or misleading. You have to dig a little deeper to find out who did the study, their motivation for doing it, corroborating studies, etc.

Google is our FRIEND! :D

Asprin is good for some things but I cannot take it since it makes Tinnitus worse.

But before l do. Does apirin help with blood circulation, by thinning the blood, and therefore is it possible to help with PN symptoms?

A pure fish oil pill is good for that.

This link has a video explaining:

There are risks with every day aspirin. Small intracranial bleeds can be very damaging (small strokes).

There have been studies about NSAIDs and colon cancer prevention over the years too.

This is about inflammation. So eating a low inflammatory diet, may also help in the same way.
To see what foods are anti-inflammatory, use this handy
nutrition site:
http://nutritiondata.self.com/
This site gives an inflammatory index to each food it lists.
