Wanted to share a great feeling with you guys, because no-one else will really understand it.

Following an audition on Monday night I have just been offered the romantic lead role in an opera in my town's biggest theatre.

I'm sitting here crying my eyes out. A few months ago I didn't know if I would ever be good at anything ever again.

I didn't cry through all the months when my symptoms were bad, I guess my brain couldn't have handled the emotion - it's like I was saving it all up for this and now I'm letting it out as relief. I'm back in the game....

Always keep your hope alive - we'll get there.

I worked for almost 15 years professionally as a designer, stage manager, sound engineer and technician on all kinds of shows, theatre, dance, opera and so many more before the accident, and I'm not able to do it yet. I miss it. A. LOT. I'm really glad you posted this! It gives me hope I'll be able to do it again someday. :)
