Bad day

I dont know if weather affects Crps or not but it's storming like crazy and I can't get out of bed. I used to enjoy storms now they aggravate my
Symptoms. I was going to see family today :( now I'm stuck in bed.

Hi Albrown3,
Sorry to hear you are stuck in bed. Yes unfortunately I live in PA and every time the weather changes...at least two days beforehand...I can tell you down to a half hour when the rain will get here lol. It is part of rsd. I also feel that a full moon causes more pain too. The barometric pressure going up does it for me. I try to not let it control my life and I have gotten better over the years. It used to be for seven days before any storm I would be in agony and now it is two days before...and getting less. When the weather goes from hot to cold I seem to have more of a problem. With today's skype and other advanced technologies is there any way you can skype in and just watch what is going on...it may make you feel better knowing you are still part of the family. Just a thought. Hang in there cause sunny days are ahead!!!!!!!
Take care,
kathy d

That's interesting to me...my worst flare yet was the night of the full moon. I never even thought about it!

Hi Terrlyn,
Yup...we are all made of lots of water and when the moon is full it changes the pressure in our bodies too. We are all like little doppler radars huh?? I do know this moon was known as a "super moon" (yes I am a geek that loves all this stuff) and it was the closest it has been to earth in 20 years so that is why it was bigger and brighter. Neat stuff. I am thankful we only have one full moon a month lol. Take care and hope you are feeling better.

I agree with this. With the super moon and all the storminess and low pressure in Minnesota the last week, I am not doing so well with both my CRPS and my bum knee that needs to be replaced!

Forecast is now for sunny and warmer. Bring it on!! :sunchair: I always feel better (mentally and physically) when the sun is shining.....
