1 week headache...please help!!!
Thank you for taking the time to look at my issue...I have had a headache (throbbing and sharp) for 1 week now. It is accompanied by no other symptoms except for once and I while I have cold/hot sweats and I sometimes feel feaverish. It is most strong when I wake up in the morning and will subside somewhat after a few hours and then comes back around/after lunchtime. Once I am off work and home it hurts less? I am sleeping fairly normal and have recently quit drinking alcohol (about 4 days ago). Should I go and see a doctor and what could they do for me???
Thanks again |

That said, IMO, yes, you should go and see a doctor. A headache persisting for that long could be an indication of something more serious, and there is not enough information here to even make a wild guess. A doctor will take/know your medical history, examine you, and possibly order some tests for evaluation. Google: headache when to see a doctor Doc |
I agree, for a long lasting headache like that a drs visit is a good idea.
If you were really drinking a lot of alcohol every day , then that could be a factor , like withdrawals.. I don't know if that applies in your case or not. Or if it mainly happens while at work , maybe it is due to sick building syndrome.. |
Although migraines can have a low fever, they typically do not produce higher fevers so a physician evaluation is warranted for this alone, let alone the duration. Prolonged migraines (>72 hours) can happen and are often tackled in different ways then just treating a "routine" migraine. Withdrawal from alcohol can certainly be a trigger. If bad headache and fever, think infectious causes, even Rocky Moutain Spotted Fever among others.
If your doc can rule those out, then they can hopefully knock out the headache. Consider simple, natural preventive options for the short term- from supplements to lifestyle changes (relaxation, biofeedback, hydration, reduced caffeine, etc) |
1 week headache also
Hi, I too have been experiencing almost identical symptoms as you described with the exception being that I feel nauseous when the headache gets really bad.
This is not something that I have suffered from throughout my life or any other time that I can recall. I went to the doctor, had all sorts of tests, and there is nothing that has been identified. I am not a narrow minded individual so I am forced to consider that it may be something from the environment. There has been a tremendous increase in chemtrail spraying by my house, as well as multiple homes having smart meters put in. Being there is no real way to test for either of those factors, I am at a loss as to what to do. My head is beginning to hurt so bad at times that I am dreading even waking up in the morning, let alone stepping outside. |
