welcome back

welcome [back] all pwp!

heck! i just breezed by to find not a footprint on this pristine shore. am i really first in at the new site? what a novel experience for this pwp - dx ten years today, slowing up and not accustomed to 'coming first' in anything anymore.

this is also my first ever post to a braintalk forum - i've been a longtime 'lurker' so while you don't know me, i feel like i know you all, and have sorely missed my daily catch-up.

thanks john grohol for this forum and to john lester for all his efforts on our behalf. hope the word soon spreads and this wonderful community springs back to life. it will be exciting to see how it takes shape.

best wishes to all
zephyr ...
who still can't believe she's doing this ... at last.

Hi Mama..not much at the moment..havent been dong much fishing lately but hope to soon..Ive been feeling pretty good this summer, but a little bit ridgid because I havent been active enough lately..Going to cut the grass this aft, I guess thats a good place to start..:D ..There is a friend of mine who is an extra on the new Showtime series "Brotherhood" that is filmed here in R.I. and he has persuaded me to send my info with a picture of myself as there are alot of movies being filmed here in R.I. nowadays and they are looking for extras..so who knows?..I e-mailed the casting co and told them I was intrerested but that I had pd, and they said that it was ok..send your info..I dont know if anything will come of it, but I would have never have even thought about doing something like this before I had pd..So thats the exciting thing, still havent sold my boat..Bummer!!

So how have you been?

mamafigure 08-22-2006 08:54 PM

Another star in our midst! I hope that you get called in! How exciting.

Seems like it must be getting harder to sell now that Labor Day is nearly here. Ever think of trying Ebay? Probably a terrible idea, but they have some pretty strange things there.

Thanks for asking about me. Actually I have not been well. At least they have figured out it's not cancer, but no answers yet. Lots of pain, and it is all on the opposite side of my PD stuff, so I can't use a cane.

So good to see a voice of reason here,
Mama

Yeah mama..It seems like its always something..well its good to hear that its not cancer, that must be a relief anyway..I hope its something minor

I might just as well try e-bay..I have nothing to lose I guess..I have it advertised in a commercial fisheries monthly that just about every fisherman in the country reads, plus theses an online thing called "Craig's list"..and its free to post an add..I just want to get rid of the thing so I wont have to haul it out and paint it again next year
