3 Ways Your Dog’s Nose Could Save Your Life
. I've known for... :Ponder: years & years that dogs are capable of detecting things like cancer and imminent seizures. The new information here (to me) is that they can detect blood sugar drops, but it doesn't/shouldn't surprise me. Now, if I could get ol' furface to alert me when a migraine is imminent, I might have something (besides a cookie mooching slobber monster...)! Doc |
It didn't dawn on me until afterward, but my dog (mixed German Sheppard/Collie) jumped on me (never does this...ever) right before my first stroke. Then she did the same right before the second as well. I really think she knew they were about to happen and she was trying to get me to sit down before they occurred.
She's a great dog, 14 now and moving mighty slow. But I will never forget these incidents. Dogs are capable of much more then we know. |

If we spent a fraction of the time watching/studying our pets that they spend studying us, communication would be greatly improved. Doc |
