What clothes work best? #CRPS

Okay, I need MORE advice.
What clothes work best when you have CRPS in your feet/legs? I know yoga pants work, but what if you're looking for a more casual look? Are there any types of jeans that work best for anyone?
Thanks in advance! -SaraMichellee.(:

I have heard that some people really like those Pajama Jeans...the As Seen on TV ones. Haven't used them myself but it's what I've heard.

I actually have different jeans that I will wear based on my pain levels...looser ones which are flannel lined for bad days, regular weight boot cut denim for "normal" days, and the lighter weight stretch denim ones for days in between. I don't wear anything that is too tight. For really bad days I have some sweatpants that I got at Gap which have no elastic in the waist (I have RSD there too). Since my RSD is in my ankle I make myself wear socks every day. The socks themselves hurt but they protect my ankle from worse pain too from cool air and the clothing. The hardest thing has been finding shoes that I like that I can tolerate on my foot...that don't hit me in the wrong spot. But after almost 3 years I finally have 3 pairs that I like that also fit my style.

Skirts, skirts, oh did I mention skirts? Ive also found that teva sandals are the least likely to irritate my skin. In the summer I live in short sundresses and go barefoot as much as possible.

My Orthopedic Doctor showed me a type of shoes that are like mesh. Which he showed them to me for my bunion, but i'd bet they'd be uberrrrr comfy. I can ask my mom what they're called if you'd like!

And thank you both, I appreciate it!

I wish I could wear skirts...unfortunately with how sensitive I am to air movements and my need to wear the TENS unit every day on my ankle to help control the pain it's not in the cards these days. I always loved wearing skirts. One of these days I will wear them again...

The air bothers me too.. but not nearly as much as socks of any kind. Do you use tens all day?

I have to wear my TENS unit allllllll day.

Oh and with socks, those like, fuzzy socks tend to help me when i have to wear socks. And when my foot's realllllllly cold, it's easier to layer them because they stretch easier.

I wear mine all day too. I don't usually have it ON all day but I use it throughout the day to help manage the pain levels in my ankle. Since I don't take meds for the pain the TENS is really all I've got to help the pain level in my ankle stay at a manageable level. Thank goodness for my wonderful physical therapist and doctor who worked to get me one. I run the wires down the leg of my pants and wear it all the time.

Im not big on the skirts .....i would wear very loose sweats, and slippers all the time but in order to feel normal i still wear jeans.(stupid yes. but it helps me mentally) socks. if i could go the rest of my life with out them I would and when I have to wear shoes they have to be super big on me. Im a size 101/2 but I am wearing a 13 1/2 daily when I go out when i get home socks and shoe come right off. I have to wear something on my feet cause the texture of the rug hurts and the hard wood flooring is way too cold. so I wear memory foam open backed slippers. as far as most comfortable.. if i could I would wear cotton silk or satin all the time. as far as the skirts comment I don't think my wife would approve. picture Homer Simpson in his moo moo!!!
