IME dr for comp

so I went to an IME appointment today first thing that happened was the insurance carrier failed to send reports to this dr so they were supposed to cancel the appt. with me (they didn't) in fact they called me friday and yesterday to confirm. so . the dr,s office saw that my wife took off to bring me in, and how much pain i was in so the dr saw me and will go through my 367 pages of medical info in his time. then when he examined me I was surprised he was well versed in RSD/CRPS and is in agreement with my neurologist as for future treatment. when he found out that i had carpal tunnel and multiple disc herniations with neuropathy, along with nerve impingement he discarded that info and said so what every one has that.??? and said it has nothing to do with this case. hmmm so quick to agree with the old timer dr,s and even quicker to dis-regard the newer dr,s. no i am glad that now all my RSD treatment will be approved, I wonder why the other stuff is dis regarded . funny I had a spine specialist appt right after the IME. are all IME dr,s cracked. mind you I liked this guy but still.

You really just never know with work comp IME docs. I hope his report helps speed up the approval process for you.

If the wc claim is about RSD then he can only apply his exam to RSD. It comes down to what the wc claim is about , unless the others things are something added to the claim, or before the claim and co factors in the RSD...

They make it so technical...

LOL many IMEs are wacked

Just remember they are paid by the wc ins company...so they usually aren't looking to help you.
Unless they happen to have very high scruples and really care about helping people, but those are few and far between.

the back is actually a previous injury working for same company. but was included immediately to this case as walking with crutches, cane, walker aggregate the injured spine , plus previous claim was still open as well and comp carrier suggested combining. technical is so underscoring this..lol..I have such a hard time containing my rage lately I really thought I was going to explode with everything that happened today.. oye.

Don't let the system get to you, just shake your head and take a deep breath.
They make it hard, to stop any cheaters, and also hoping some of the legitimate claims give in & quit the process...:(

I hope you have a good atty for this multiple injury & complex claim.
The invisible and co injuries are often harder to prove..
Best of luck to you.
