Cool Hat Vest Needed
My landscaper has had one of his final heat strokes. I can NOT let this happen again.
Please list vests, hats, anything you know of that worked for you. Thank you, Ed |
He can choose his own from:
heatreliefdepot.com They are a reputable place. ANN |
I believe it is MSAA that has a free cooling products program
|
If he has MS both the MSAA and the MSF have cooling programs.

I use those cool bandannas you can buy at Wal mart for next to nothing. You wet them, and they have crystals inside that stay cool a long time. I wrap them around my wrists and neck and stay cool. you can re energize them by placing them back in icy water and wringing them out again. They are cheap and cheerful.
the MSAA has a nice program, and the stuff they sent me while wonderful is bulky and made me even hotter. I did like the bucket hat, but I could take a normal bucket hat (with a color I like and a style that actually fits me) and sew in a trap door. (they sell fabric glue so you dont have to sew) and tuck in a gel ice pack. they are light weight and keep your head cool. Dont go out between 10 and 2. that is when the sun is highest in the sky and you are more likely to get over heated. pick early morning or later in the day to get your work done. Stay inside in the AC during the day and get your inside stuff done. |
Thanks for all your replies. A gel wrap that can go in freezer and remain flexible sounds good and one that goes under hat.

cooling collars that wrap around the neck are cheap and can be found at walmart. however, the gentleman sounds like he needs the big guns.
staying hydrated is also important. |
