Maybe.........just maybe

I should give the SCS another try rather than the med pump. It's been over a decade since I gave it a try and had a total failure due to shocking where no sane female wants to be shocked. It was a different doc who did the work. My pain man could/would do it. He feels I was not connected properly the first time. I found it so traumatic that I have refused to discuss it. I guess it is time to climb in the prayer closet over this one as I need to do something different. Ta-Ta kiddies.

Hi Spine!

Many improvements and newer models over the past decade.
I will add my prayers! God grant you the peace and guidance on this decision you face. We're all here for you!

Thanks, guys.

I'm afraid I was pretty whiney and scared the other day. The pain was totally out of control and all sources were in full flare. I was feeling totally desperate but, at the same time, afraid of any more measures that are the least bit invassive. I am going to give Pain Man a call and tell him I have decided to give the SCS another try after all. While no one is perfect, he has been installing them for quite a while and I am reasonably certain he will get it hooked up properly. I have reached the point where I need a new rope to hold onto as this one is worn out. :D

Hi Spine95

Hi there,

I agree with your thinking and Rae's, I guess things have changed a lot in the last 10 years, they have improved and perfected the SCS, there's no need for you to have a bad experience but you're right too to be cautious. Research your SCS brand, this is a ood place to start.

Oh, by the way everyone of us goes through the tough days when the pain is off the scale and occasionally we say things we wouldn't normally say or think because the pain and the meds do strange things to our minds and bodies.

Take care and nice talking to you, no doubt we will again,

Sinéad xxx :) :)

Hi Spine

God be with you in all of this, realizing the technological changes have brought to several of us to places of peace which were unheard of many years past.

Prayin,
