Carpeted cat scratcher
I'm trying to find a cat scratcher, preferably not a scratching post, that does NOT have sisal or whatever that ropey stuff is. They have one they love, one of those curve/wave things, but one cat pulls out the rope fibers and eats them. I wish I could find one just like it without the sisal. Any ideas?

My only recommendation is to NOT get a cheapie cardboard scratcher. What a mess! Cardboard bits everywhere.

Websites like Petco.com have a large selection of cat scratchers. Ebay also has a bunch of things for kitty cats.
My cats love the sisal rope and I just bought some to re-purpose a couple of pieces of carpeted cat furniture for them. |
Hmm, I hadn't thought of ebay. Mine really like the sisal also, but Peach has a sensitive tummy anyway, and she eats those fibers and then barfs. Too bad, because they LOVE that thing. It cost about $20, I think, so I really hate to replace it every six months!!

how about free!!!! try a log cut from an oak, or maple tree keep bark on and make sure you keep it in an easy clean area. (do not treat!!! it will fall apart in time but do not treat as cats do tend to eat bark.) if cat shows no interest try a catnip spray to attract cat to it.(this is the natural way for them and its free,) also some cats might like moss rock, or lave rock, caution if you use these as cats tend to lose more claws this way. but cats preference. as we know cats do what they want when they want to..
