Seizures at rest

My daughter seems to have her seizures when she is at rest. During reading time at school, while watching tv (not photo sensitive), after an activity. Does anyone else do this? I kind of thought they were more likely to happen DURING an activity.

Hi concernedmom,

If your daughter is having sz. while she's resting she may be having myoclonic sz. which means the sz. happens when she goes to bed and when she wakes up in the morning. The brain is the most active when a person is asleep. Try and keep track of your daughters sz. and take note what time of day/night they happen. If you see a pattern where she's having sz. in the morning and when she goes to bed then let her Dr. know. I had this type of sz. for awhile but then my Dr. put me on vimpat and that form of sz. stopped completely. I wish you and your daughter only the best and May God Bless You!

Sue
