Please help

I have sfn in my left wich was caused by rsd in my left foot. I also have full body muscle wasting which has puzzled the docs. I tried ivig and all the tds for rsd, nothing has helped and I feel like my time is running out. I have tried lyrics and other drugs but they don't agree w me. I am taking a bunch of supplements and a multi b vitamin to no avail. Soon I won't be able to walk. I am losing muscle despite aqua exs. Any suggestions?

I don't know much about SFN, but I wanted to offer my sympathy. Hopefully, some of the veteran members will chime in with their always excellent advice.

Are you seeing a neuromuscular specialist?

Loss of motor function is very serious. When the neuromuscular junction is damaged or destroyed, the muscles can atrophy.
This is because of a feedback loop the muscles send signals back to the CNS to keep things normal.

Can you list the supplements you take? And the drugs? Some drugs deplete certain nutrients and over time cause deficiencies. I can look that up for you.

Thanks and I believe that is what is happening. The only pain med I take is 1/2avicodin a day and pamalar..I am also taking D3, multi bit, super B complex, alpha lipoic and acelyl carnnitinea and omega 3

Thanks for any advice, the rsd is causing that cycle to occur I believe.

I think people with RSD should be on substantial Vit C.
Vit C has been posted about on the forum there. It is also used
in Europe in studies following trauma or surgery to the ankle and/or wrist, to block development of RSD in a percentage of patients.

I'd start at 1000 mg of Ester C. Take 500mg twice a day.
Search Vitamin C on RSD forum and see the posts too.

Info Source

I believe Washington University in St. Louis, MO has an excellent neuro-muscular research center. That would be worth checking into.

Rsd

Ty for your input...this is all being caused by rsd so I don't think there is much they can do for me?

Debbie
