Jolting - vibrations - neck problems??
 

A while back there was a long post about sensitivity to jolting and the fact that there was no info available about this symptom.

Are there any of you out there that have had negative CT and MRI but are still sensitive to jolting?

I'm trying to determine if my sensitivity to vibrations and jolting is due to PCS or the fact that I have a disk bulged between C4-C5. I also have pressure feeling in my head when lifting anything.

If you are talking about being sensitive to jolting or jarring like when riding in a car over a bump or other same sudden movement, I have had this problem for years. My brain is just very sensitive.

I also have some mild disk issues in the C-3 to C-6 area but nothing serious. I don't notice my neck to be a problem except with sudden stops in the car that I am not prepared for. I am usually not driving so they then to be unexpected.

CT and MRI images do not show the sensitivities to these minor symptoms in my experience. Most imaging is useless for PCS issues and even the minor neck issues that often accompany a concussion.

The head pressure could have two causes. The movement of the head as one bends over to lift can cause a change in cerebral BP and the straining effort could also cause a change in BP.

I just know to expect symptoms like these. I have lived with them for a decade or more. I used to do a lot of lifting of a 100 to 135 pound objects multiple times a day. I needed to use good body mechanics, breathing and such to limit the head symptoms.
