could it be RSD???

I had a really bad back spasm from a possible lumbar disc a year ago. Then within a couple months my low back started to burn, then my feet, legs, and then hands, feet, and face. Well, then I was tested for everything(MS, peripherial neuropathy, and small fiber neuropathy). I was negative for it all. I then got a cervical and thoracic MRI. It turned out I have a mild spinal cord compression in the C5-C6 area. I also have arthritis throughout my back. I have seen two surgeons who say I need fusion on the C5-C6. The only thing that changes color on my body are my feet. They will turn red off and on due to gettibng too hot outside and hurt. I don't get any swelling anywhere. Does it sound like RSD? I am afraid to have surgery if it is. I take meds for my all over body pain and burning. Meds help a lot and make it tollerable. I just can't walk for long distances. I get cramps in my legs. I am not sure if this is caused by the spinal cord compreesion or RSD? Thanks a lot everyone.

This might help: http://www.rsdfoundation.org/en/en_c...uidelines.html

When in doubt, get to an experienced RSD doc for consultation asap.

RSD can be hard to diagnosis because there are a lot of other things that can mimic rsd. I suggest looking up the guideline provided to you by Lit love and consult a dr who has experience with RSD as soon as possible.

I agree with them.. check in with an RSD specialist.. see if they can offer a try phase bone scan, or something like it to see whats going on . good luck
