Wavy vision?

Last night while using my iPad I noticed a wavy quality in both of my eyes left peripheral vision. Straight on my vision was fine, but the left side was almost like looking through water. I got up and changed rooms and walked around with no change. This lasted 10-15 minutes with no pain or other symptoms.

I over did it yesterday and was quite fatigued when this happened. Generally, I would describe my symptoms as mild. I have a lot of trouble with double vision and have had uveitis 6 times in the past 2 years.

Any suggestions from anyone would be appreciated. Thanks!!

That sounds like my migraine auras (I'm not an MG patient, my spouse is). If you're prone to migraines, that might be what the issue was. But either way, talk to your neuro about it.

I don't know if what you experienced was a migraine aura or whether it was related to MG, but I just wanted to add that it is possible to have an aura without the ensuing (painful) migraine.

could be mg or migraine

Hey there! I have the same thing......have had migraines since I was very young. Unfortunately also have mg and my vision is usually the first thing to go. :o

I know I've said this quite a few times but putting a cool cloth or ice cold coke can on your eyes should help. Hope you don't need to try it, though!

Hope this helps!

I get that sometimes with using the iPad. I think because we have MG (and if eyes is one of your bigger symptoms, as it is with me), just have to be careful with it, and maybe not be on the iPad as much, or take more breaks. Also, don't scroll the screen that fast, that usually drives my eyes crazy lol.
