numbness in finger, and other new symptoms

Last night, I noticed that my right middle finger is numb at the tip.... It feels quite odd, and this is not normal for me. As well, two nights ago, I had horrible vertigo while going to sleep.... In general my headaches are less intense, but I am getting stabbing pains instead that come and go, and are quite painful for the few moments they stick around....

Soem BG info - I am now quite late... Doctors are trying to determine if this is due to pregnancy or a luteal cyst... regardless of what is happening, I have some extra progesterone flowing about my system which is no doubt giving me some headache relief...

SO - Here's my question - Do I call my physiatrist with these new symptoms, or just not bother?

I had tingling in my left arm and fingers on and off for the first 4 months of my recovery. For some reason it worried me more then the other symptoms. Then after a while it started to be less and less and after 5 months completely gone. This is the only symptom I can say that has actually come and gone since my injury.
Now if only the other symptoms could disappear like that I would be the happiest guy in the world! I'm sure everyone else here feels the same.

Camyam,
Sorry to hear you are having new symptoms. Is it possible that a nerve is pinched in your neck that is causing the numbness (and maybe vertigo?) in your finger?

I know when my neck is messed up, I get a variety of different numb parts down my arm and in my hands. That's a signal to me to see my chiropractor, but I don't allow her to do a manual adjustment, my neck would not appreciate that.

As for calling your doc, I think anytime you are worried about something, it doesn't hurt to call. That said, if it were me (I always wait as long as possible before seeing a doc!) I would wait a couple days and see if it resolved or got worse.

The stabbing pains in your head are familiar to me. I get a reoccurring one, its like someone is stabbing me with a knife in the back of the head, upper right side, right straight through my skull and out my right eye. Fortunately, it only last a few minutes tops, but when its there, wow! If it happens in the middle of a conversation, I'm suddenly unable to speak because of the pain.

The rest of the time, I just have that general low grade ache in my head, its so familiar now, I think if it went away, I would really notice. Just sort of covers my head like a toque ;)

Best of luck... let us know how it turns out, pregnancy versus cyst.

Well, not pregnant, so I am guessing a cyst, and my progesterone is quite high, which explains why the headaches are not bad... praying that they stay reduced after everything else gets back to normal!

Sorry camyam.

At least your headaches aren't as bad, I know that's not what you were hoping for.

It's just frustrating because I was actually on a cycle "off"... To have this complication just made my month off no fun at all.... I am now cd 34, and have to wait till cd 39 to even call my fertility specialist again. Not thrilled.

As for my numbness, my middle three fingers on my right hand all have some numbness now... I am thinking I should alert my physiatrist, but am tired of being a squeaky wheel and might just wait till my appointment in july.

I have numbness on and off in two fingers in my right hand too. When I've been overstimulated I also get sharp joint pains just to add to the delights x
