mental nerve injury

Anyone out there with a numb lower lip , chin and gums from a dental procedure?

Bryanna 04-07-2007 08:38 PM

Hi Withmore,

Do you mean permanently numb? What procedure did you have done?

Bryanna

Yes, I had a tooth taken out and was going to have an implant placed.

Did your dentist say that the roots of your tooth or the infection was in or near the mandible canal? Does that sound familiar at all?

Did he say that he nicked a nerve when he gave you the injection?

numbness after dental treatment

HI,

I had an abscess which was at it's peak a week ago. About 20 minutes after taking double doses of 2 antibiotics I started to experience tingling in my lip. I still have it along with numbness in my chin and part of my face.

Hi laraloo,
Any sudden or lingering side effect from any medication, should be reported to the doctor that prescribed it as it could be an allergic reaction.

How are you feeling now?

Bryanna
