Can someone translate my knee mri?

I'm not sure which topic this should go under but if someone could please tell me in simple terms what this MRI report means. All i know is they referred me to see a specialist at the end of the week as soon as they got my MRI results.

Here is the report:

FINDINGS: Noted is an approximately 6.5 cm x 3.1 cm x 1 cm infiltrating soft
tissue mass in the subcutaneous tissues anterior to the patellar tendon and
extending anterior to both the medial and lateral retinaculum of the knee.
This mass displays intermediate T1 signal, increased T2 signal with diffuse
enhancement following gadolinium administration. The margins of this
anteriorly are poorly defined extending throughout the subcutaneous soft
tissues of the knee. No distinct delineation of the prepatellar bursa is
evident. No distinct extension is noted into the patellar tendon, or into
the knee joint itself. This mass is not specific, but is concerning for
possibility of soft tissue sarcoma. No distinct hematoma is evident.
Gradient echo imaging was not obtained as this study was not protocoled as a
soft tissue protocol given the lack of further history.

Hello nicholsj.navy, and welcome to NeuroTalk.

I'm sorry that you have these concerns with your knee, but we are not doctors here, nor are we radiographers. You really must speak to your doctor about these results as only they can both interpret the result and give you valid advice. Should any of us here were to try and give you unqualified advice, we could do you more harm than good.

Please contact your doctor, and I wish you all the best with your results.
