The roller coaster of blood sugar levels can cause PCS symptoms to do the same. Brain injuries can cause blood sugar issues to be weird. He is probably going to do a fasting glucose tolerance test. Been there, done that.
I tend to be hypoglycemic. MY condition is called reactive hypoglycemia. My blood sugar roller coasters if I have a sugar rich food. My blood sugar can get to very low levels, as low as 50 or lower. 80 to 110 is the healthy blood sugar level.
Most with diabetes are hyperglycemic. Their blood sugar gets high. There are lots of things you can do to deal with hyperglycemia before going on meds or insulin. Google "diabetes diets" and see if the information makes sense compared to what you have been eating. Being overweight is also not good for this reason.
