I know exactly how you feel. I've had bladder incon for years and years and they still don't know why. About 15 years ago, I found out I have diabetes and some time after that, I got PN (at least I then knew what to call it). In all likelihood, I've had diabetes for 40 years or more. The problem is that once a Dr. sees that I have incon issues and diabetes, they say it is the diabetes and/or PN, case closed. I deal with it by wearing diapers when it gets bad, but I'm afraid at some point, it will get to the point where I need to wear diapers all the time. I'm trying to get my PCP to send me to a different urologist and see if we can ignore the ED issues (I guess fixing ED is good biz for urologists) and concentrate on the incon issues. It drives me crazy. I've been wetting the bed this last week, once had a bowel accident in the car and wet my pants at work two weeks ago. Not my definition of a good time. And all this happened in just the last 2 weeks. I have stories that will make your hair stand up (I don't know if pattern baldness is PN related:) ). But I've been dealing with this for years. At least I know I don't have some terminal disease, but other than that, nobody has a clue. I know incon is a tough issue for people to talk about, but getting it open is therapeutic. It isn't any different than having bad eyesight or a bum arm.
