Myofacial PT is BAD!

I went to a physical therapist who said I do not have TOS. That TOS starts from the shoulder and goes down and does not only just affect the pinkie and ring finger, which is what is affected on me. Although I get big pressure on my thumb side. He ignores this symptom by choice.

Anyways, he is myofacial and had me do a stretch in which you HUNCH YOUR NECK FORWARD IN TO YOUR CHEST AND RAISE YOUR LEG.

Isn't hunching down like the worst thing you can do to TOS?!

Anyways, after just ONE day of doing it I have to stop. In so much pain from that just doing it twice!

wow oh wow.

Maybe the title should say BAD Myofascial PT is BAD.

Sounds like that one you went to was not very good:(.
keep searching for someone really good.
It may take a time or 2 to find out if they really are helpful or not, and if not say bye bye!!

Basically they should do pain relieving PT modalities first. (heat, ultrasound, low level laser, IF stim, massage, manual trigger point - those sort of things FIRST!!!!
Then
Maybe some gentle stretches - only if no increase in pain or symptoms.
As pain & symptoms resolve , then more active participation by the patient.
